This person will assist our team with journal entries, account reconciliations and provide support to our entire accounting team. Sugar Mountain is a growing company and a great place to learn a complex business from an accounting perspective. Responsibilities: • Assist in fiscal period-end close procedures including: o Preparation and posting of journal entries o Reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts o Preparation of financial statements, reports and supporting schedules• Post Daily cash receipts and prepare daily cash report on bank balances• Reconcile all bank accounts across all entities, along with other account as assigned• Contact customers with past due accounts receivable balances and report weekly on balances• Process billbacks received from customers • Preparing and reconciling intercompany accounts; including creating and issuing billbacks to related parties, employees, and various divisions• Tracking fixed assets, recording depreciation and accounting for additions and disposals• Creating, modifying, and reviewing various reports• Cross train with other staff accountant and other members of the accounting team• Other duties as assigned by the Corporate ControllerRequirements:• 2 years general accounting experience• Knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required• Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Microsoft Business Central, or Blackline experience a plus• Intermediate excel skills with ability to perform both pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s• Our ideal candidate is highly organized and detailed orientated, with a curious mindset• Must possess a natural ability to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers as required• Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical standardsCompensation:The starting salary range for this position is between $67,000 - $77,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan.
