Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff or Senior Accountant to join our team as a payroll specialist. This role involves providing exceptional accounting services to our diverse range of clients in the Seattle area. As a payroll expert, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing payroll systems for businesses with varying complexities and sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process payroll for clients with 50 employees, handling hourly, salary, and commission-based pay structures.
• Experience working with multiple payroll systems, demonstrating adaptability and proficiency in navigating different platforms.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including tax deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related calculations.
• Provide consultancy and advice to clients on payroll best practices, compliance, and optimization strategies.
• Conduct general bookkeeping duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their unique business needs and tailor payroll solutions accordingly.
• Stay updated with the latest payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in payroll processing and management, preferably handling 50 employees.
• Proficient in various payroll systems and software.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing outstanding client service.
• CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
