Job Summary: Sugar Maple Roofing LLC is searching for a team-oriented individual to join our Residential Exteriors Construction sales team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in commissioned roofing sales, but not required. The owner of Sugar Maple Roofing was a long time manager helping even completely inexperienced coworkers learn roofing, restoration, insurance, sales, and general construction management skills. We will train you on the job and we wont let you fail. The ideal candidate will be independent, ambitious, and enjoy people. The candidate will meet with prospective clients and guide them through the sales and production process, rom start to finish. They will generate leads and meet with current customers and new leads. The most successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and other members of the team. There is no cap on commission, many bonuses, and a great foundation for independent workers who are self driven and don't like to follow 9-5 work schedules. The following are the essential job functions:
- Proactively search for new business opportunities, respond to organic leads provided by the company, and maintain an existing client base.
- Attend appointments and make site visits as necessary to assess clients' needs.
- Conduct roof-top inspections and gather all necessary information to provide information to the estimate team, including a full-scale take-off with photos year-round.
- Stay current with market supply and demand, economic indicators, and competition trends, and become familiar with the products offered.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Possess excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Quickly learn and retain knowledge of new products, specialty products, and systems
- Have prior customer sales experience with cold-calling is a plus.
- Exhibit a positive and approachable demeanor with all walk-in customers and vendors, promptly responding to their inquiries and offering assistance.
- Have an aptitude for developing effective counter and winning sales strategies
- Ability to obtain and maintain new buyers by building lasting relationships
- Proficient in price quoting and follow-up communication
- Able to operate a PC and related software
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet company timelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
