Subaru of Orange Park is Hiring a CASHIER/RECEPTIONIST SUBARU Near Jacksonville, FL

Job Summary:

Customer facing position responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, answering and transferring calls, and taking messages. Responsible for accepting and processing payments correctly and preparing deposits each night.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Correctly accept and receive payments, deposits, and down payments.
  • Correctly make change, prepare customer receipts, and document each transaction.
  • Prepare nightly deposits and balance cash drawer.
  • Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages, and assist customers with general inquiries.
  • Welcome in customers, guests, and visitors.
  • Replenish customer snacks/beverages as needed. Maintain a clean refreshment area.
  • Timely filing of documents, within 7 days of receipt.
  • Provide a positive customer experience by taking a proactive approach, identifying customer needs, and responding to customer queries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain a clean and polished working area.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Abide by all company guidelines, regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change, etc.
  • Ability to think critically.
  • Ability to troubleshoot when receipts do not balance.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
  • Must be able pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)


Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • MS Office knowledge: Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Multiple phone line experience.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
