STS International is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer (SATCOM) to join our team to support DoD/US Army customers in the development, integration, and implementation of SATCOM solutions for the modernization of land based tactical networks.

• Leads and manages engineering teams to develop and deploy SATCOM solutions to meet customer requirements
• Performs system integration of multiple, simultaneous efforts to integrate tactical communication and networking solutions
• Directs and participates in analyses and implementation of advanced communication solutions and emerging technologies for incorporation in current or future programs
• Directs all systems architecting and engineering activities to include, but not limited to, the following: system requirements definition, interface definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, development and refinement of communications concepts of operation, and verification and validation

• 15 years of relevant experience or 10 years with a relevant Master’s degree
• Extensive experience with development, integration, and/or operations of DoD, US Army or other relevant Agency ground-based SATCOM and/or terrestrial communication systems
• Experience with leading systems engineering programs and activities focused on integration of complex communication systems
• Knowledgeable in evaluation of vulnerabilities, identification of technical capability gaps, and efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities and gaps for SATCOM networks and tactical baseband
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, and or Mathematics

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Knowledgeable with the US Army’s plan to modernize the tactical networks in support of LSCO and MDO.
• Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients’ requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technical solution options, and building a differentiated team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid.
• Able to manage a systematic program of customer engagements to collect actionable business intelligence and shape future business opportunities
