STS International is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to support a portfolio of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) projects for DoD/US Army and SOF.

• Plan, direct and execute programs, systems development, and research & technology initiatives relevant to customer needs.
• Responsible for overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plans.
• Accountable for establishing and controlling technical milestones, schedules, budgets, costs and quality performance of multiple engineering programs, project and activities with opportunities to influence C5ISR modernization through research and product development
• Responsible for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources.
• Coordinate technical project requirements for hardware/software design, development, integration, test and evaluation, deployment, and sustainment.
• Ensure project adheres to engineering processes and principles during development, production, integration, test and sustainment of products for customers and compliance with DoD and company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Communicate with executives, customers, project managers and engineers
• Lead, monitor, and report technical performance of various engineering projects.
• Assist in the development of 5 year technology roadmap and alignment with corporate growth plans
• Provides technical expertise, engineering concepts/processes, and write proposal efforts

• 10 years or more related supervisory experience with C5ISR systems technologies including (but not limited to)
  • Tactical, Cloud Solutions, Enterprise Architectures, and Cybersecurity
  • Commercial Satellite, Cognitive Radios, and Cloud-Based Solutions
  • Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminals,
  • Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) and Low Probability of Detection (LPD) Technology
  • Continuous Integration (CI) And Continuous Delivery (CD) Within Development, Security, And Operations (DevSecOps) Pipelines
  • Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) Solutions
  • High Altitude Payloads, And Deployable Communication Kits
  • Spectrum and Bandwidth Management
  • Network Analytics Capabilities
  • Network and System Hardening
• Significant experience leading and performing systems engineering; software development and integration; and development of C5ISR systems, software, and capabilities
• Experience leading teams, managing customers, and contributing to technical proposals.
• Experience effectively communicating and coordinating with US government customers and other contractors to deliver project technical performance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field or minimum 15 years in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in related field
• Provide support to operational testing and evaluation at variety of outdoor locations, some may be austere.

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Knowledgeable with the US Army’s plan to modernize the tactical networks in support of LSCO and MDO.
• Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients’ requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technical solution options, and building a differentiated team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid.
• Able to manage a systematic program of customer engagements to collect actionable business intelligence and shape future business opportunities.
• Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners
