We are currently recruiting for a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Strengthening Division as a Design Engineer II to support the Bridge Rehabilitation part of our business. As a Design Engineer II you will be responsible for performing structural analysis and designing repair and strengthening solutions for concrete and steel bridges and other structures.
As a Design Engineer II, you will collaborate with our sales group, manage design development, and engage customers to support the delivery of transportation and bridge strengthening and seismic rehabilitation solutions.
The preferred candidate will have a background in bridge analysis and design, seismic analysis, and development of structural retrofit solutions for structures subject to gravity and seismic loads.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Reviewing project documents, condition assessment reports and other data to support design development.
* Conducting general and seismic structural analysis to evaluate the capacity of structures, assess code compliance, and developing repair and retrofit solutions.
* Design dampers and other devices for seismic retrofit of bridges.
* Developing construction drawings and communicating details with clients, engineers, and construction crews.
