Position Overview

Are you a skilled IT Help Desk Technician ready to provide efficient technical support and assistance to our employees? We're seeking a candidate with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for clear communication. In this role, you'll be the initial point of contact for our team, offering remote assistance to resolve computer, hardware, printer, and network-related issues. Your technical expertise, patience, and customer-centric approach will play a vital role in preserving our company's reputation and success.

Key Responsibilities

As our IT Help Desk Technician, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the first line of support for our employees, addressing their technical queries via phone and email.
  • Conducting remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.
  • Analyzing the information provided by employees to determine the best solution for their issues.
  • Guiding employees through the problem-solving process with patience and clarity.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate support personnel when necessary.
  • Offering accurate information about our IT products and services.
  • Documenting and maintaining detailed records of events, issues, and their resolutions.
  • Providing timely updates to employees on the status of their technical issues.
  • Sharing valuable feedback and suggestions from employees with the relevant internal teams.
  • Identifying and recommending potential enhancements in our support procedures.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR
  • 3 years of experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) role OR
  • 5 years of direct customer support experience, in lieu of a degree.

Please note that MSP experience is highly valued and may be considered above academic degrees or general customer support experience.

Required Skills:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or in a similar customer/employee support role.
  • Proficiency in configuring both Windows and Mac computers.
  • Tech-savvy with a strong grasp of computers, tablets, phones, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and remote control tools (RMM) to effectively support our customers and employees.
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and various tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer-oriented with a cool-tempered and patient demeanor.

Preferred Skills:

  • While not required, the following skills would be a bonus:
    • Experience in supporting pharmacy-related systems.
    • Knowledge of office automation products.
    • Familiarity with scripting and databases.
    • Proficiency in Device and Endpoint Management Solutions like Kaseya, ConnectWise, Ninja, Atera, or Syncro.
