Duties:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
- Provide basic patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with physical examinations and assessments under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Provide care and support for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medication technician training program or certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience working in a healthcare or senior care setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
