Middle School Science Teacher *$2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS*

Philadelphia Performing Arts, A String Theory Charter School is seeking a middle school Science Teacher to join the teaching team at our Vine Street campus located at 1600 Vine Street. This teacher will be responsible for teaching sections of 7th grade physical-based science and 8th grade biology-science. Students throughout our organization engage in a unique educational program designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders through their participation in the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, standards-driven academic curriculum. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree
• PA Certification in Grades 4-8 with 7/8 Science Concentration or General Science 7-12 (will consider subject-specific certs such as Physics 7-12, Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12, Earth and Space Science 7-12)
• Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)
• Candidates must be US Citizens and have permission to work in the United States. Philadelphia Performing Arts will not sponsor a Visa for a candidate.
• Candidates must either have an official PA state teacher certification, not an emergency certification, or be working towards their official certification.
