This position is responsible for implementing and administering the Bank’s Compliance Management Program. This position monitors the Bank’s day to day administrative, lending, and operational activities for compliance; collaborates with the Regulatory Risk Director in the overall administration of these directives for the Bank. Participates in various committees, audits, and examinations. Performs duties as the Community Reinvestment Act Officer. Advises Senior Management and Bank personnel of emerging compliance issues and consults and guides the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.

• Administers the Bank’s Compliance Program, including preparation of periodic reviews of the Bank’s compliance with laws and regulations. Reports results to management and Board of Directors on a regular basis.
• Conducts compliance orientation for new managers and monitors compliance training needs. Develops compliance training sessions, including presentation materials and scheduling.
• Maintains the Bank’s Compliance Manual, Compliance Checklists and Compliance Calendar.
• Maintains the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan and coordinates the annual testing of the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan.
• Maintains the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Public File and prepares CRA related data for annual submission, if required and analysis.
• Chairs (or participates as a member of) the CRA Committee.
• Gathers information and answers questions for Comptroller of the Currency examiners during compliance and other examinations.
• Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations that directly affect the bank’s policies and procedures. Works with those areas of the Bank affected by changing laws, regulations, or policies to ensure that appropriate changes are implemented.
• Develops and maintains an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulatory laws and regulations including but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and CIP requirements.
• Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and approving marketing programs, ad copy, Internet website content, and all other materials submitted to compliance for review. Review and evaluate compliance monitoring data for trends, potential/actual issues, training needs, and potential corrective actions. Ensure adequate documentation is maintained in all phases of work; routinely track and report on initiatives, actions, and results.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. 
• 5 or more years relevant experience in compliance, risk, legal or audit within the financial services industry.
• CRCM preferred
• Experience with federal and state consumer lending laws and regulations,
• Previous experience working with industry regulators
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
