Our Service Manager leads the service team and manages daily service operations. This position must demonstrate exceptional customer relationship and interpersonal skills, a commitment to ongoing development of a high-performing team, and the ability to successfully manage a profitable and well-run service operation. Ideally, this individual has a broad and well-maintained network within the Pacific Northwest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure positive long-term relationships with current customers, and actively pursue and secure new business outside of the current customer base.
• Develop and execute strategies and plans that clearly express a path for employee and business growth.
• Effectively recruit, manage, coach, and retain talent to meet growing business needs.
• Determine and manage schedules and assignments for work activities.
• Ensure understanding of service offerings and work with internal team to develop quotes for service agreements.
• Proactively evaluate and improve policies and procedures to promote accountability and operational effectiveness and financial soundness.
• Manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies.
• Prepare operational reports and communicate results, plans, and challenges to leadership and service team.
• Assist in creating annual fiscal year budgets and revenue/contribution margin goals. 

Qualifications

• Highly experienced in management of HVAC/R service and sales including operational concepts and controls for planning, scheduling, inventory management and logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with effectively hiring and developing employees and overseeing work schedules and activities in a unionized workforce.
• Exceptional customer service focus, and ability to negotiate win/win outcomes with customers.
• History of developing opportunities for growth in revenue and service offerings related to the HVAC/R service business.
• Adept interpersonal abilities with effective verbal and written communication skills to create clarity and understanding.
• Highly collaborative and supportive, with a successful track record of building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
• Knowledge of business and financial concepts and techniques utilized to manage budgets and establish value propositions for service contracting offerings and proposals.
• Experience creating estimates/quotes for HVAC/R services.
• Takes initiative and is self-directed; works well with minimal supervision.
• Operates with integrity and ethical business practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; particularly with Excel.

Compensation

• Base pay starting at $120K to 140K or above commensurate with experience (negotiable)
