Position Summary: Join the Department of Excitement! We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Marketing Data Specialist to join our innovative and growing marketing team at the organization's headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves providing crucial data, analytics, and business intelligence support for student recruitment. This position will primarily support our admissions and marketing teams in providing reporting, data collection and ensuring correct and timely inquiry routing through our CRM platform. This position will work in conjunction with our IT department and data management vendors. The Marketing Data Specialist will play a key role in proactively supporting the optimization of marketing and advertising strategies by providing business intelligence through data analysis and accurate and timely reporting. This position will also be responsible for trouble shoot any perceived data issues and provide both reporting dashboards and ad hoc reporting.
Responsibilities Include: Data Routing, Analytics and Reporting: - Understand and optimize the mechanics and data underpinning for each marketing channel and segment.
- Design, develop, and deliver data-powered solutions, including problem definition, data acquisition, exploration, visualization, and interpretation of data results.
- Analyze large data sets to monitor campaign performance, identify growth opportunities, and make recommendations to enhance student recruitment efficiencies, conversions, and overall campaign performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, admissions, operations, IT and leadership teams and agency partners.
- Responsible for MAP analytics program providing geographic (including zip code and territory routing) and demographic data intelligence.
CRM & LMS Platform Expertise: - Pull data, metrics, and analytics for marketing campaigns, channels, and conversion performance using CRM & LMS platforms (Leads Squared, Sparkroom, Power BI and Nexus).
- Serve as the liaison with IT and data platform/CRM vendors to provide marketing requirements and data needs/reporting tools.
- Prepare reports on marketing and admissions metrics to optimize performance.
Requirements: - Associate or bachelor's degree in business, math, finance, computer science, or marketing data/analytics (or work experience equivalent).
- 2-3 years of experience in business, finance, higher education, or marketing analytics (including related internships).
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Leads Squared) and LMS (e.g., Sparkroom)
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite programs, including Excel (proficiency in Pivot Tables), Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to run, review and interpret data for stakeholders.
