Strada Electric & Security is Hiring a Low Voltage Installer Near Winter, FL

Job Summary:

The Low Voltage Installer assists with a variety of low voltage equipment installation, cable pulls, repairs, and replacement of variety of systems.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Install prewire for new residential construction.
  • Install structure panels and fiber conduit
  • Install and terminate, label, test and troubleshoot low voltage.
  • Prewire of TV/Phone/Data.
  • Prewire Security – wired/ wireless
  • Install Central Vacuum
  • Able to read and understand prints
  • Reliable and efficient in the workplace
  • Builds telecommunication closets, determines equipment layouts.
  • Mount and Install backboards, cross connects, racks/patch panels.
  • Must own and have hand/power/testing tools necessary for the low voltage industry.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • knowledge of Residential Low Voltage Wiring – Phone, Data, etc.
  • Performs daily routines at a high level
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn as we train on the job.
  • Ability to interact with builders and other industry professionals.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Ability to pull audio/video/phone/ security & data wire throughout residential new construction.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR report.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Residential Low Voltage Wiring – Phone, Data, etc.
  • Experience with pre-wire in new construction homes for future A/V and home automation projects.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must own and have hand/power/testing tools necessary for the low voltage industry.
  • Physical ability to move up and down on a ladder
  • Physical ability to lift and move items throughout a normal shift.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
