Job Summary:

STP is looking for a Head of Investment Performancewho will lead and develop our global performance team, collaborating cross-functionally to design and implement sustainable processes. They must have strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the investment operations business, and technical perspectives. The incumbent should be passionate about investment performance and analytics as well as adept at using technology to solve business challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to oversee projects and develop a team. As the face of our performance offering, the Head of Investment Performance will engage in discussions with client senior leadership, including complex security performance topics. Demonstrated knowledge of performance measurements across business verticals of Institutional, funds and wealth management.

What you’ll do

• Manage and lead a global team in the coordination and delivery of timely and accurate performance and portfolio analytics
• Serve as subject matter expert in performance measurement and portfolio analytics approaches and analyses as well as perform regular and ad hoc analyses across a variety of asset classes, instrument types and comparative data sets
• Ensure quality and efficiency for business-facing reports and outputs
• Partner with Business Solutions, Account Managers, and Global Operations to ensure appropriate controls are in place
• Interact with Distribution and Marketing teams with respect to the capture, use, analysis and reporting of key performance and portfolio analytics data points
• Understand the use, configuration and general ecosystem surrounding performance and attribution analysis technology and systems including but not limited to Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet and other vended portfolio analytics systems and corresponding data sources
• Understand and stay abreast of industry evolution, collaborate with business and technology to assess impact of industry and regulatory changes
• Leverage service providers, peer networks and user collaboration sources to evaluate and monitor for best practices
• Lead global performance and attribution team to deliver capabilities to clients across multiple investment strategies
• Perform calculations, analysis, research, and report preparation to support performance measurement, risk, and portfolio management processes and tools and controls to ensure accurate calculations for investment performance characteristics and to capture returns at security and account level
• Oversee internal compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards 
• Respond to ad-hoc requests and participate in special projects as needed
• Superior internal and client service skills; ability to own day to day management of client experience and engage with senior level staff
• Provide personalized coaching and mentors staff to achieve performance standards, individual career growth, and long-term talent development

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years in financial services, including investment performance
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• In-depth knowledge of performance, attribution, and GPIS composite tracking systems.
• Knowledge of how performance is calculated and presented for Institutional, Funds and Wealth clients
• Significant experience with Global Investment Performance Standards 
• Skill to prioritize initiatives and deliver quality projects – accurately and on time
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must be precise, thorough and detail oriented, with expertise in effectively reviewing extensive amounts of data and information
• Eagle experience a plus
• CIPM, CAIA, CFA designation preferred
