What you'll do:

Perform accounting duties including routing and non-recurring calculations, reconciliations, verifications, and posting. Will perform accounting functions requiring a thorough knowledge of general accounting methods; principles, and practices including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and general ledger. In addition, this position advises and directs teams and answers complex questions, functions as an expert resource for the department, and helps provide leadership in managing departmental operations.

• Enters data into various accounting systems or accounts including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
• Reconciles various accounts which include identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action;
• Verifies accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information and determining the proper accounting treatment; 
• Verifies the completeness and accuracy of sales information such as customer information, equipment quantity, amounts, and payoff information needed for settlements;
• Required thorough knowledge of general accounting, both on accrual and cash basis;
• Must possess good customer service and communications skills, the ability to work with professionals and maintain confidentiality standards;
• Requires strong analytical and organizational skills, effective problem-solving skills, and attention to detail;

Must have proven teamwork skills and can recognize when you can help the team complete all daily and monthly tasks

Qualifications

What’s Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Understand accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and budgets;
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel and Internet functions;
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Will office out of the Avondale location

Preferred

• Knowledge of the agriculture industry
