Stonegate Fellowship is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near MIDLAND, TX
Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to serve Jesus Christ by serving the Staff, Church Body of SGF, and the Midland community by providing facilities that are clean, safe, and welcoming.
Role Basics | Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Replacing florescent lights
- Replacing air filters
- Loading salt into water softeners
- Limited troubleshooting HVAC issues
- Perform irrigation system maintenance
- Light plumbing work i.e. clearing drains, repairing faucets, etc.
- Painting
- All other duties as needed in the facilities arena
Minimum Work and Education:
- 3-5 years experience in facility maintenance
- High School Diploma
Required Competencies:
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Member-partner with Stonegate Fellowship
- Multiple years of experience maintaining similar facilities and support systems
- Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC systems, irrigation systems, etc.
- Ability to with with and manage people/contractors
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to climb stairs, fixed ladders, and portable ladders.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to safely operate ATVs, golf carts, and other such equipment
- Physically able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Have a positive and friendly attitude, being able to effectively communicate with SG staff, Servant Leaders, and members of the Body.
- Adapt to a busy and fast pace work environment.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in order to operate church vehicles.
- Have the ability and willingness to work in and for the benefit of the Facilities team.
Time Requirement:
- Full time hours (40 hours)
- Flexible hours , weekend and occasional events
