Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate accounting, technical accounting, and is familiar with SOX compliance. Duties: - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Perform month-end and year-end close processes - Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts - Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards - Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support - Assist with audits and tax filings - Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - CPA certification preferred - Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices - Experience with SOX compliance and technical accounting standards - Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program is a plus - Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law, private equity, securities law is an advantage - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth.
