Job Title: Medical Assistant

Overview: Medical assistant will work closely with supervisor in well-established Aesthetic Plastic surgery Practice in Boca Raton, to assist our prestigious doctors and deliver world class quality care to our patients.

Job Description for our Medical Assistant: We are seeking an experienced medical assistant who has at least 2 years of experience in plastic surgery and/or dermatology. The ideal candidate will provide support and assistance to our team that includes all functions of medical assisting. Applicants must be professional, possess excellent communication skills and someone who always takes initiative. We are a small friendly office looking for the right applicant who has a strong work ethic, extremely organized, professional appearance, reliable and a dependable team player.

Responsibilities for our Medical Assistant: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this position but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Supervisors/Management may assign or reassign new duties & responsibilities to this job at any time with reasonable accommodation.

1. Assist physicians with cosmetic treatments & surgical procedures.

2. Patient triage & intake.

3. Removal of sutures & drains.

4. Prepare exams rooms daily.

5. Prepare instruments, equipment & supplies for cosmetic treatments & procedures.

6. Call in prescriptions for patients.

7. Clean rooms & sterilize instruments in a timely manner.

8. Assist patient follow up phone calls.

9. Entering & calling in prescriptions.

10. Replenish and stock supplies in exam rooms.

11. Ensure compliance with HIPAA state regulations & internal office policies.

12. Maintenance of inventory & supplies.

Qualifications Required for our Medical Assistant:

• Minimum of 2 years' college; Knowledge of medical terminology; Knowledge of cosmetic procedures, neurotoxin & fillers (preferable)
• Minium of 3 years’ experience as a medical assistant, preferably in plastic surgery or dermatology.

Office Hours: 8:15am-5:15pm, Full time work schedule. * Some days may require coming in earlier and/or staying later than normal office hours*

Compensation: Starting wage is negotiable depending on experience.

References will be needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
