Stepping Stones Early Learning Center is Hiring an Assistant Toddler Teacher Near Woodbury, MN

* Up to $1000 Sign on Bonus AND monthly performance bonus!

Stepping Stones ELC - Woodbury, is looking for a qualified Assistant Teacher to work with our toddler age classrooms and join our professional TEAM to create a positive, caring and academic environment! Our center is expanding and we have multiple options for age groups to teach. Teachers must have a great love and patience for children and find joy in working with children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of early childhood educational methods, as well as the ability to engage positively and earn their trust and attention.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age appropriate curriculum
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.).
  • Observe and demonstrate social and emotional skills
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve conflict
  • Organize group times, outdoor play, nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Track children’s progress and report to parents via ProCare Connect app
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom with health and safety standards

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Early Childhood Teacher
  • Understanding of the principles of child development for Infant, Toddler or Preschool educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to act as mediator between children
  • Certification in child CPR/1st Aid
