Stepping Stones Early Learning Center is a small family owned preschool/daycare looking for a creative, flexible, and positive leader to join our team. We have 2 classrooms that serve 25 students each day and we are committed to providing a high-quality environment in which children can grow socially, emotionally, developmentally, and physically.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 0-8 years old
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
• Observe and assess children's development
• Communicate with parents and families about their child's progress
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lead a classroom with up to 4 children
• Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in early childhood education OR A one-year state or nationally recognized credential in Infants and/or toddlers curriculum OR At least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in the care of Infants and/or toddlers OR Completion of 10 credits (semester system) or 15 credits (quarter system) of training at a college or university in early childhood education AND at least six months of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable group care program, in the care of Infants and/or toddlers

Preferred Qualities:

• Completed OCC approved health and safety training
• Completed OCC approved safe sleep training as well
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with parents, staff, and Directors
• Ability to implement company policies and procedures with staff and parents
• Has a firm grasp of each and every child's developmental level, abilities, allergies, and overall daily routine
• Able to organize information, lists, and organize classroom areas/supplies
• Able to manage and execute the flow of our day
• Minimum of 1 year commitment to position
