Controller

We are looking for a top-shelf accountant who is ready to go to the next level. In your role as Controller, you will support the head of finance and will be responsible for helping to manage the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities of several SaaS portfolio companies. You will need to have a strong understanding of GAAP, SaaS/ FinTech industry experience, and some public accounting experience.

Primary Duties

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the assigned portfolio companies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.
• Help prepare financial reports and analyses for senior management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and forecast process, including monitoring actual performance against budget.
• Assist in the company's tax compliance and planning activities.
• Help develop and implement internal control procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in industry and/or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.
• Experience working with diverse types of businesses; SaaS and/ or FinTech.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
