Steiner Enterprises, Inc. is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Lafayette, IN

The Quality Manager will collaborate with the Engineering Team, Business Unit Managers, and the management team to maintain Steiner's ISO quality management system. The Quality Manager will implement continuous improvement and quality control processes to minimize errors, improve throughput, and hold vendors accountable. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in a quality leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ISO 9001:2015 Quality System.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
  • Managing the quality program to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Troubleshoot technical product issues and work with engineering team for resolution.
  • Ensure quality standards and parameters for products meet engineering specifications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Business Unit managers.
  • Review and manage product testing standards.
  • Act as Steiner's representative with external auditors as appropriate.
  • Work with engineers and business unit managers to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Create and update ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions to support ISO Quality Management System.
  • Perform time studies, recommend, and implement process changes to improve production timeline.

Requirements:

  • Proven results within a formal QMS, prior ISO experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a quality role in the electronics or similar industry.
  • Process improvement and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of Company personnel, the management team, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the Company.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency with Excel and project management.
  • ISO Auditor Certification.
