Montessori Credentialed Instructional Coach (0 to 6 Years Old)

STEAMspark Montessori Experience is seeking a Montessori Credentialed Instructional Coach to serve students from the ages of 0 to 6 Years Old. The Instructional Coach plays an important role in supporting the professional growth and development of Montessori guides, ultimately enhancing the quality of education and the learning experience for students aged 0 to 6 in the Montessori classroom.

We are looking for a certified Montessori guide with the talent to enrich the learning environment with the STEAMspark curriculum, incorporating age-appropriate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics concepts.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ignite the “spark” in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify professional development needs aligned with Montessori principles.
  • Design and implement targeted, evidence-based professional development sessions.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers through observation, feedback, and modeling.
  • Facilitate the effective implementation of Montessori curriculum in classrooms.
  • Support teachers in adapting and enhancing curriculum materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Keep abreast of educational trends and research to inform curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Work with teachers to analyze student data and assessment results to inform instructional decision-making.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of effective assessment practices aligned with Montessori principles.
  • Serve as a Montessori philosophy advocate and resource for teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative school culture rooted in Montessori principles.
  • Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and other instructional coaches to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, Montessori Guide, and/or Montessori Assistant
  • Existing Montessori Credential from a MACTE accredited center

Preferred Qualifications

  • Montessori Certification
  • Valid Texas Elementary Teaching Certificate

Application Process

Candidates interested in applying for the Montessori Credentialed Instructional Coach position are required to submit the following:

  1. Resume highlighting relevant experience and qualifications
  2. Answer the questions included in the posting application
  3. A video recording (not exceeding 10 minutes) where you respond to the following questions:
    1. Can you describe your understanding of the Montessori philosophy and how it applies to children up to 6 years old?
    2. How do you approach observing and assessing teachers' practices in a Montessori classroom, and how do you provide constructive feedback for improvement?
    3. Can you share an example of a successful coaching or mentoring experience you've had with a teacher in a Montessori school? What was the outcome?
    4. How do you assess the impact of your coaching and professional development efforts on teacher practice and student outcomes?

Salary

Salary range of $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit on the floor for presenting lessons.
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
