Application Developer (multiple positions) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will serve as a strong full stack Java developer with excellent Object Oriented design skills, JavaEE, messaging and database development experience and some front-end GUI skill sets to work on all aspects of multiple web-based and machine-to-machine API based applications. Will join a fast-paced small elite team that works in an agile environment to collaborate with business sponsors and all stake holders. Will be familiar with cloud native CI/CD tech stacks and will be responsible for hands-on development and deployment tasks throughout the full life cycle of development. This is a hands-on developer position within a small elite development team that moves very fast and proven multi-tasking skills and experience on multi-project deliveries is required. Specific duties of the position include: develop server-side Java code for web applications in Enterprise cluster environments, utilizing JavaEE application server, such as Tomcat, netty, among others; develop browser-based client-side code using web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JSP, AJAX, DWR, JSON, ExtJS, Angular, React.js, GraphQL, node.js; demonstrate proficient experience with database development for project development and production support in a timely fashion, including SQL, PLSQL, and ORM tools such as Hibernate; closely work with business and all stake holders to build financial systems, implementing SWIFT and FIX Messaging for inter-institution communication and RabbitMQ for internal microservices communication; demonstrate a working knowledge of Object Oriented design and code refactoring using core java 11 , multithreading/concurrency/transaction, Spring/SpringBoot, Hibernate/JPA/ JDBC, JMS as well as fluently writing testable code using JUnit Mockito, server side load testing and other end-to-end testing open source framework (such as Selenium), secure coding principles and web security concerns, REST web services, data structures and algorithms, RabbitMQ (with cloud function stream), and other common open source libraries; and work with cloud native CI/CD container-based integration/deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, JFrog in public cloud provider such as AWS. Hybrid-remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field plus 5 years in any occupation that would provide relevant/related experience. Alternatively, Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field plus 2 years in any occupation that would provide relevant/related experience. Must have: demonstrated solid knowledge and experience with core java 11 , multithreading/concurrency/transaction, Spring/SpringBoot, Hibernate/JPA/ JDBC, as well as fluently writing testable code using JUnit Mockito, server side load testing and other end-to-end testing open source framework (such as Selenium); strong skills with Object Oriented design, functional (and reactive) programming and code refactoring; demonstrated experience and skill writing clean, quality and secure code; proven solid knowledge and proficient experience with data modeling and database development (SQL, PL/SQL) in conjunction with Hibernate/JPA best practice; demonstrated solid knowledge and experience with microservices architecture (EDA, DDD) and Kubernetes, distributed tracing (such as openTelemetry); demonstrated solid knowledge and experience with implementing SWIFT and FIX Messaging as well as RabbitMQ message broker used as the glue for microservices; proven strong communication skills and demonstrated passion for professional software development; and demonstrated experience working with IT technologies and being responsible for hands-on development and tasks throughout the full life cycle of development.
