As part of the Operations and Planning Team, you'll lead and track federal and state behavioral health priorities and provide expert advice to executive leadership and external stakeholders. You will utilize your skills in research, analysis, budget planning, and public presentations to shape legislative proposals and ensure alignment. Enjoy hybrid work flexibility while making a meaningful impact in Washington State!
All HCA employees will apply an equity lens to their work, which may include but is not limited to all analyses of core business and processes.
Division philosophy statement:
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) values and seeks diversity, equity, and inclusion as integral to the behavioral health field. We support, embrace, and celebrate everyone’s uniqueness, promote inclusion, and commit to remove systemic barriers that affect our workforce, our providers, and the people that receive prevention, treatment, and/or recovery support services.
About the division:

About the position:
This important role, reporting to the Behavioral Health Operations and Planning Supervisor, focuses on keeping tabs on federal and state behavioral health matters and acting as the go-to expert on legislative priorities. Responsibilities include overseeing the communication of behavioral health policy implementation and offering expert advice to top leadership and outside groups. Vital for ensuring effective communication and alignment with behavioral health goals, this role plays a key part in coordinating with internal teams, the Governor's office, and lawmakers.
