DSHS Children’s SOLA Direct Support Professional/Attendant Counselor 2
Want to put your passion to work? We are seeking professionals to join our team as Direct Care Providers to support children with developmental disabilities in their everyday lives. This essential position provides paid training, excellent benefits and the ability to make a difference and transform someone’s life!

Do you like being active and spending time outdoors? Do you like bowling, skiing, hiking, biking or going on walks? How about working with children with disabilities? Along with being active, you provide support, personal care, supervision, and training to children in their home. Each of our clients has unique support needs. Do you want to be a mentor and help support learning daily living skills, building relationships, and helping guide the children in our program to participate in community integration activities. You’ll also performing personal care as well as assisting with medication administration and managing behaviors.
These openings can be filled as an Attendant Counselor 2or an Attendant Counselor 2 in-training to develop the required skills within this specialized field. Upon successful completion of the 6-12 month in-training plan, you will progressively advance to the goal and wage of the Attendant Counselor 2.

To Start On Your New Career, We Ask That You Have:

Experience
Attendant Counselor 2 ($22.32 - $27.83)
  • A high school diploma/GED plus one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities in mental health facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or residential settings.
If you lack one year of experience, we can hire you in a paid training position:
Attendant Counselor 2 In-Training ($21.26 - $25.84)
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • In this position, you get paid while gaining the experience and knowledge you need to qualify for the Attendant Counselor 2 position.

Note: Your starting hourly rate will be dependent on your education and experience.
Evening and Night shifts include a shift differential in addition to the standard compensation rate.
