State of Utah is Hiring a Groundskeeper II Near Salt Lake, UT
Principal Duties
As a Groundskeeper II you will:
- Mow, rake, water, and fertilize lawns.
- Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
- Assist with general maintenance of sprinkler systems.
- Assist with preventative maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other small grounds-keeping equipment.
- Lead other groundskeepers in functional supervisory roles.
- Remove snow.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 3 years of experience in landscaping and grounds care.
- At least 1 year of experience with irrigation systems.
Here is some information you should be aware of:
- Must be available for on-call
- Working Conditions: Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals, etc.
- Physical Requirements: The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.
- DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers.
