State of Missouri is Hiring a Benefit Program Supervisor Near Kansas City, MO

Job Location: The Family Support Division is seeking an applicant to fill the Child Support Training Supervisor position located at 615 E 13th ST., Kansas City, MO.

What you’ll do: Training Supervisors will provide initial, ongoing, and re-certification training for new and experienced staff in the child support program. They will supervise new hire employees for up to six months to handle new employee orientation and onboarding activities, initial basic training, and assist with follow up and remedial training as needed. Training Supervisors will perform case reviews of new employees and conduct some specific office training as needed. Will work closely with office program coordinator to analyze statewide audit results to identify training needs. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and conduct on-site new hire orientation, new employee onboarding, and MACSS basic training; provide follow up and refresher training for current employees, including annual assessments and re-certification training for staff who work in the child support
  • Plans and supervises the activities of subordinate staff; participates in the selection and training of staff; evaluates performance and gives direction to correct deficiencies; conducts meetings to advise staff of new policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and legal procedures affecting the program; recommends discipline as
  • Conduct case compliance reviews for new Monitor and review casework of subordinate employees to ensure that an appropriate quality of work is maintained; Communicate with employees regarding case actions and decisions
  • Assist the training unit to research, develop, and implement training materials for any follow up or remedial training as needed, and coordinate training with the child support training
  • Extensive use of database programs; analyze data and make recommendations for
  • Assist program training staff with staff specialty training for new and experienced employees; coordinate office training needs with the child support training
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all FSD child support program systems requirements, including policy and procedure to ensure that staff are being trained on those policy and procedures

All you need for success: All you need for success: Two years as a Child Support, Benefit Program Technician with the Family Support Division; OR

Two years of professional employment in resource, financial or legal investigation, child support enforcement, or closely related areas; and graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in accounting, business or public administration, education, behavioral/social sciences or closely related areas.

(Graduate work in the education areas listed may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the stated experience.)
