Salary: $1,326 - $1,420 semi-monthly

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Service Program, and will be located at 2701 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and review expense accounts for accuracy and compliance with policy and procedures
• Process invoices, including procurement cards, for payment with accuracy and compliance with policy and procedures
• Process Journal Vouchers when needed
• Back-up to process deposits with accuracy and compliance with policy and procedures
• Provide main back-up for front receptionist area and Lead Administrative Support Assistant, primarily answer main phone line, sort and distribute mail, and scan payment documentation for processing
• Provide general office assistance
• Other duties as assigned

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• One to three years of business or governmental financial experience including mathematical computations (Substitutions may be allowed.)
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and office methods and practices
• Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions
• Ability to make mathematic calculations
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to review financial documents for accuracy with attention to details
• Ability to maintain automated and manual financial records
• Ability to identify and resolve transactional issues
• Maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAM II, Excel, Word, and Access
• Strong oral and written communication skills
