Position Title: Senior Lending Operations Specialist

REPORTS TO: Chief Lending Officer

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB GRADE 11: $26.23 - $32.79 Targeted Hourly Rate

JOB SUMMARY:

This employee is responsible for supporting various departments within lending operations. Primary responsibilities include a combination of vendor management support and implementation of new software, integration of new systems and technologies, and identifying opportunities for enhancing member and staff experiences. In addition, this employee will also provide administrative support to the Chief Lending Officer in form of monthly reports and reconciliations, coordinating with internal departments and stakeholders, and liaising with external business partners.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve a lead role in all lending operations projects and vendor management activities.
  • Participate in the analysis of vendor proposals, demonstration, and selection.
  • Research business requirements and create specifications for projects.
  • Facilitate a consistent and organized flow of information during projects.
  • Track, monitor and develop reports on project performance against expectations across multiple projects and departments.
  • Ensure all deliverables and commitments are met and in compliance with relevant standards, laws, regulations and methodologies.
  • Establish mechanisms to track project or program success and to ensure that business benefits are realized.
  • Collaborate with various departments and team members in the execution and implementation of projects.
  • Analyze business requirements and processes, making business cases to management for consideration and implementation.
  • Responsible for performing administrative functions and responsibilities related to third party software and platforms to include but not limited to, Meridian Link and DocuSign.
  • Create and maintain a variety of documentation across all areas of lending operations, including operational manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving the lending operations of the organization for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform routine reporting and reconciliation activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for distribution to management, internal departments, Executive and Board.
  • Responsible for having sufficient knowledge and understanding of all consumer lending policies and procedures, to maintain and support these policies, and to comply with them in the spirit of applicable State and Federal laws and regulations including but not limited to Regulation B and P, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and Patriot Act.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Demonstrable expertise with various types of data, applied in a business context.
  • Experienced managing digital documentation delivery software (i.e. DocuSign or similar).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management and testing.
  • Can operate with uncertainty; able to work independently with high-critical thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and software through a combination of self-study and on-the-job training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Job Related Travel - As required.

Education/Experience:

  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, in addition to 3 to 5 years' of relevant experience in lending operations, financial services, project management, or similar.
  • Project management certification a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
