THE OPPORTUNITY: AWS DevOps Engineer

As an AWS DevOps Engineer at Anthem Engineering, you play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring seamless software delivery. You are a key contributor to the success of our projects, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices to create robust, scalable, and automated infrastructures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate existing architectures, identifying areas for improvement in stability, availability, manageability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish and communicate architectural guidelines and standards to maintain consistency and best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement hybrid cloud environments to optimize performance and scalability.
• Develop and implement robust Backup and Recovery and Business Continuity processes to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
• Define and enforce security standards, continuously monitoring for vulnerabilities and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to swiftly address and rectify technical issues.
• Monitor applications and services within environments, proactively resolving issues and implementing preventative strategies.
• Stay abreast of AWS maintenance and outages, assessing impact and formulating strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Create, manage, and follow up on AWS support tickets to ensure timely issue resolution.

• 7 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Proficient in DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong scripting and coding skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Expertise in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Proven track record of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
