StarTech.com is seeking a driven, dynamic leader to oversee our US Distribution Centre.

Reporting to the Vice President of Distribution, the Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe and economical function of the Distribution Center (DC). The Operations Manager oversees all DC functions including receiving, inventory, accuracy, production, RMA, order fulfillment and shipping.

What will you be doing?

• Allocates resources to provide highest levels of external and internal customer satisfaction
• Assures reporting accuracy across numerous metrics
• Leads and develops Warehouse Supervisors and Lead Hands
• Monitors and collaborates with People & Culture on all employee relation issues at the site
• Controls labor budgets to meet annual budgets while maintaining proper, efficient staffing for both permanent and temporary staff
• Collaborates with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy of all warehouse stock
• Ensures compliance with all pertinent safety regulations, maintains appropriate safety culture
• Keeps technology, and all equipment up to date and functional
• Plans for replacement and upgrades via Capital Budget process.
• Responsible for managing all preventative maintenance and facility issues: i.e., HVAC, conveyors, racking, alarms in a timely manner
• Works closely with various stakeholders including VP Distribution, peer Operations Managers, Logistics, Product Quality Manager

What can you bring to the table?

• Bachelor’s Degree in business management, Supply Chain, or related field
• Polished professional with 7 years in a leadership position within the Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
• Lean/ Six Sigma/ CIP Certifications considered an asset
• WMS platform experience (7 to 10 years) in previous roles in all areas (Outbound, Inbound, Inventory, and overall workflow). Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform experience a plus
• Demonstrated use of Microsoft applications, particularly in Excel and/or other database management software
• Ability to communicate professionally using multiple platforms (voice, email, social media, etc.) to promote company culture and collaborate cross functionally
