Star Choices is Hiring a Medical Office Manager Near Columbia, MD

Duties:

- Experience with medical billing.

Oversee the daily operations of the medical office, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Manage and supervise office staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) using software such as eClinicalWorks or Epic
- Coordinate patient scheduling, including appointments, follow-ups, and referrals
- Manage patient billing and insurance claims, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical technology

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Medical Office Manager or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing practices
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of critical care or veterinary hospital operations is a plus
- Experience with managed care or utilization management is desirable
