We are currently seeking a dedicated North America Learning Manager to support the initiatives of our Learning and Organizational Development team. This role will have a significant impact on engagement, performance enablement, measurement, and will be at the core of driving our people’s success. Your Key Responsibilities

Skillful learning design and delivery

  • Lead effective needs-assessment, ensure the right approaches are being taken at the right time, and forecast future requirements to enable our people to bring their best.
  • Demonstrate outstanding facilitation and coaching skills by supporting experiential leadership development, core-skill and/or technical learning sessions, and train-the-trainer events.
  • Facilitate agile and iterative design and development approaches, ensuring stakeholder participation and effective incorporation of diverse feedback.
  • Support the creation and implementation of inclusive, engaging, and effective learning and leadership development offerings, including team-based interventions and offsites.
  • Develop and facilitate in support of organizational goals by leveraging and building on Stantec’s Global Career Framework as the foundation of our learning efforts.
  • Spearhead effective measurement, and leverage data and analytics across Stantec to identify learning and development needs, trends, and return-on-investment.
  • Influence stakeholders and designers to choose the best methodology – blended, e-learning, virtual, etc., ensuring we use the right approach for the right purpose and keep us current without chasing trends.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of multi-disciplinary specialists with skills including facilitation, instructional design, and needs-assessment.
  • Coach and inspire team members to innovate, bring fresh ideas and approaches to the table, and evolve our offerings to meet our audiences where they are.

Project and program management

  • Ensure the effective and timely delivery of learning and development offerings to the North American employee base.
  • Identify core clients and stakeholders, and ensure engagement, communications, and project plans involve the right people, at the right time, in the right ways.
  • Coordinate and manage the schedule and availability of information and communications through our learning management system, TalentHub.
  • Maintain our focus on the key measures of success: perform and communicate cost/benefit analysis and ensure effective measurement, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Oversee content libraries and ensure materials are easy-to-access and readily available for use within the team and with other collaborators.
  • Contribute to the development of the L&OD budget.

Effective and engaging collaboration and partnership

  • Partner closely with worldwide regional learning colleagues, emphasizing common language, integrated approaches, and consistent program experiences.
  • Collaborate and influence HR Client Services (through the Business Operating Unit Business Partners) as our key client to assess development concerns and recommend effective learning solutions.
  • Oversee learning solutions to support acquisitions and integrations in North America.
  • Manage vendors required for North American learning delivery and design.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create ambitious and engaging objectives, plans, and programs.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong business acumen and experience in translating current and anticipated business needs to learning strategy, priorities, and plans.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of adult learning and behavioral science principles including identifying measurements for outcomes, ensuring accountability, and tracking and reporting on progress.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills (both virtual and in-person) and the ability to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of leaders and employees.
  • Collaborative influencer with strong consultative skills, excellent stakeholder management and listening skills.
  • Continuous learner with strong conceptual thinking skills, and can develop creative learning solutions.
  • Ability to help others navigate complex or unusual situations that may not have precedence.
  • Ability to flex different leadership and influencing styles against situational requirements.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, including using good business sense and organizational values to make decisions involving varying levels of risk and ambiguity.
  • Superior organization and project-management skills, ability to effectively multi-task and attention to details are critical.
  • Dynamic, adaptable to change and enjoys working in a challenging and collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, influence stakeholders, and engage people to concepts and ideas.
  • Experience working with leaders at all levels of an organization, including an understanding of executive teams.
  • Vendor management to ensure delivery of intended outcomes.
  • Ability and willingness to facilitate sessions primarily within the North America time zones, with occasional global facilitations from time to time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Education, Business, or another applicable area.
  • Minimum of ten years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

Salary Range(s):

  • $123,200.00 - $184,800.00 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
