Role Summary:

Reporting to the Controller – Industrial and Technology Services, the Business Finance Manager will partner with operational management teams to maximize financial performance and improve reporting. The role will serve as the conduit between corporate finance and operations, providing insight into factors driving performance and developing suggestions to improve the financial health of the business. This candidate will support strategic and growth initiatives by developing KPIs and analytics required by operations to make informed decisions designed to enhance revenue and manage expenses.

Essential Duties:

• Support close activities to ensure revenue and expenses are accurately reflected and aligned with expectations.
• Accurately and quickly perform variance analysis to ensure financial results accurately reflect operational activity.
• Coordinate discussions with operations to produce near-term revenue and EBITDA forecasts and p repare the monthly reporting package with assistance from operations management.
• Resolve open questions arising from senior management review of monthly operating results.
• Design and implement business process changes as needed to address identified risks or to improve information required for decision making.
• Collaborate with operations to strategize on improving financial health.
• Develop per-unit cost and profit models for growing technology-enabled service line.
• Prepare and evaluate capital requests and alignment to approved annual plan. Support the business in making the most efficient capital decisions.
• Provide existing KPIs and identify new ones as needed or required.
• Improve existing controls and develop new ones as required to fill any identified deficiencies.
• Oversight of annual budget process, ensuring alignment between the short-term business plan and business objectives.
• Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

• Must have high skill levels in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and interfacing with ERP and BI systems.
• Knowledge of all aspects of accounting functions and principles.
• Knowledge of accounting and billing systems (Oracle and RentalMan) a plus.
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision. The individual needs to be highly organized.
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
• Willing to work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills.

Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Five to eight years related experience.
• MBA, CPA or advanced business degree a plus.
