Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Market leadership team to advance the goals of the Company in the Market

· Day-to-day management of Houston accounting function across our 3 (and growing) locations

· Implement accounting policies and procedures within Market and contribute to discussion of accounting policies for the group.

· Evaluate construction progress in Houston for recognition and deferral of revenue.

· Active contribution to and ownership of recurring and off-cycle financial projects including month-end close, financial consolidation of quarterly and annual forecasts.

· Create retrospective and prospective analyses as needed.

· Prepare accurate financial reports as scheduled by the CFO.

· Monitor the financial performance of the Market and work with management to improve overall business performance.

· Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.

· Prepares information for the audit of company financial reporting in annual financial statements.

Qualifications:

· Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image

· Strong working knowledge of financial processes including consolidation and month-end close.

· Ability to ramp up workload at key times.

· A bachelor’s degree in accounting required, and a graduate degree is a plus.

· Significant accounting experience, including supervisory experience preferred.

· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) required.

· Strong experience managing / overseeing reconciliation process, monthly close, regulatory reporting, and other typical functions.

· Intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
