Job Overview

Associate Account Director (Public Relations)The role of an Associate Account Director acts as day-to-day client contact and/or overseas one or more accounts. The Account Supervisor must be a passionate partner and brand advocate while fostering collaboration and advocating for smart, creative thinking. We are seeking somebody who is endlessly curious and has an insatiable appetite for news, culture and what captures consumers’ attention. This is a multi-client role, and ideal candidates will understand the evolving media landscape with a proven track record of successful earned media campaigns. Responsibilities

• Build and nurture strong client relationships that are honest, genuine and built on mutual respect for one another
• Understand key client information, including business strategy, products and services, key customers and competitors
• Develop public relations plans and recommendations to meet and exceed client business objectives
• Build, nurture and champion creative ideas and strategic solutions to address specific business challenges
• Determine how to best match the agency’s services to client’s needs, within budget parameters
• Serve as an integrator with other marketing functions, including fostering positive relations throughout the agency and external partners
• Manage budgets, generate forecasts and ensure the agency is adequately compensated for services rendered
• Supervise, mentor, motivate and collaborate with other team members 

Required Skills

• Highly resourceful and strong ability to think critically, provide solutions and solve problems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to persuade, present and champion recommendations and ideas
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in public relations, including media relations, influencer marketing, content development and social media engagement
• Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Understands best practices in the public relations industry
• Experience in executing brand activations designed to earn media coverage and drive social conversation a bonus 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• Five or more years of agency or relevant experience
• One or more years of Account Supervisor experience strongly preferred
• Passion for any and all categories a must
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams 
• Stays current with technology and possesses knowledge about integrated marketing/PR/advertising
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Ability to travel, as needed
