Position: Payroll Clerk

Location: Honolulu, Oahu, HI

Pay: $23/hr

Education: Associate Degree or Accounting Certificate

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years accounting experience

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire

Schedule: M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Collects all timesheets and paperwork for each day and distributes them to various personnel for processing.
• Assigns job numbers.
• Extends and codes time sheets and inputs them into payroll system.
• Transmits employee payroll deductions (401k, garnishments, child support, insurance) to payroll company.
• Generates all payroll reports.
• Prepares payroll checks for distribution, and AP vouchers for manual checks when necessary.
• Prepares weekly listing of union dues for ILWU.
• Handles payroll inquiries from employees.
• Learns new software as directed by Manager or President.
• Other duties as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Must have experience with Excel, Microsoft Work, and accounting software
• Detail oriented
• Able to meet deadlines
• Able to prioritize work
