Staffing Network is seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Mechanic in Chicago, IL . The machine maintenance mechanic will be actively performing preventative maintenance, repairing press, full stamping and die cutting machinery and responding to emergency situations as needed. THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!
Shifts/Hours for maintenance technicians:
1st Shift- 7:00AM-4:00PM (flexible schedule- OT may be available/On call)
Payrate for maintenance mechanic:
$27.00-$32.00/ Hour depending on experience
Duties and responsibilities for machine maintenance mechanic:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical systems
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track and document maintenance activities
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Fabricate or repair parts using welding, machining, or other methods as needed
- Conduct inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them proactively
- Supervise and coordinate contractors for larger maintenance projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications for machine maintenance mechanic:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with logic controllers and other control systems
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Leadership skills to supervise contractors and coordinate maintenance activities
