ST XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL is Hiring an Administrative Assistant - Assistant Principals’ Office Near Cincinnati, OH
This 12-month position which will begin on July 1, 2024, provides administrative support to the Assistant Principal for Academics and the Assistant Principal for Student Life, including assisting faculty, staff, parents and students, and is a direct report to the Assistant Principal for Academics
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Assistant Principals
Prepare internal and external correspondence for the Assistant Principals
Disseminate information to staff, parents and students
Manage the calendar for the Assistant Principals including scheduling teacher observations and preparatory meetings
Provide statistical data upon request
Work collaboratively with other support staff as needed
Coordinate and schedule prefecting for teacher absences
Compile and publish teaching and homeroom schedules
Schedule and manage parent-teacher conferences
Take minutes at Academic Department Head meetings
Organize various events such as Academic Awards
Provide customer service in the Principal’s Office as needed
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
The Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Principal shall be a person who has a dynamic personality, is organized, well rounded, engaging, and who facilitates growth and collaboration inside and outside of the office. Additionally, they will:
Provide evidence of an ability and commitment to furthering the Jesuit, Catholic mission and identity of the school
Have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience
Show demonstrated track-record of success in a professional setting
Display patience, tact, and excellent communication skills
Possess strong organizational talents
Possess excellent writing skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Google Sheets, and database software
Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, a positive attitude, and a warm, outgoing personality
Have poise in a busy setting serving patrons and staff with high expectations
Establish effective working relationships with community, state, and federal organizations
Competencies:
Able to balance a variety of competing priorities
Ability to effectively communicate with parents and staff
Engaging and approachable
Maintain appropriate confidentiality about students, school, and staff
Maintain records as required
Knowledge of PowerSchool a plus
