About the Position:

Responsible for the transactional functions of the HR department and serves as an interface between HR, other departments, and the Corporate Office. Responsible for the day-to-day functions of HR and special projects as assigned. Incumbent must assure that the quality services to employees; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles, and an environment that is conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment of candidates to fill vacancies. This includes posting requisitions, the initial screening of resumes and applications of various formats, prescreening potential candidates, and scheduling interviews, and interviewing candidates and verification of job offers in the HRIS system.
  • Oversee and review the processing of payroll and other essential functions of the Human Resources department and ensure compliance with internal and external controls. This includes monitoring existing and new hire employee’s compensation for compliance with corporate policies. Processes includes timely processing of new hires, terminations, job changes, as well as time card completion and approvals.
  • Responsible for Everify compliance and pre-hire background checks and drug screens.
  • Coordinate with department managers to schedule on-site new hire orientation and onboarding, and answer employee questions relating to various payroll, benefits, and HR topics. Verify electronic Employee Onboarding is complete in ADP.
  • Assist employees with navigation to benefit resources and programs. Provides employees with an overview of benefits to include the Benefits Guide, how/when to enroll, and where to locate additional website information.
  • Maintain employee HR file, to include all required forms and documentation.
  • Provide support to the Campus President with special events and/or projects such as training programs.
  • In coordination with the Campus President, responsible for employee communication for events, benefits enrollment, employee recognition, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Business or a related field is strongly desired but not required
  • SHRM -CP certification is a plus
  • At least 3 years of prior HR experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with MS Office Suite, and HRIS systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
