TITLE: Lead Teacher

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in the field of early childhood education or equivalent or possess 10 years of experience working in a classroom setting. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children. You will be supported by a dedicated support teacher in the classroom at all times. Additionally, we maintain small classroom ratios to optimize the learning environment for both students and teachers alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that align with early childhood education standards and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and supported.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor each child's growth and development and use this information to individualize instruction and support.
  • Collaborate with other members of the teaching team to plan and coordinate special events, field trips, and other enrichment activities.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times, following established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles, theories, and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass background checks required by state regulations.
