We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Transportation Dispatcher. As a dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of vehicles and ensuring efficient transportation operations while liaising with consumers to fulfill their needs effectively.

Duties

• Coordinate the timely dispatch of vehicles to various destinations based on customer requests, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, providing them with necessary instructions, updates, and any changes in routes or schedules. Also, liaise with consumers to gather transportation requests, provide status updates, and address inquiries.
• Monitor vehicle movements in real-time using GPS tracking systems, identifying and addressing any delays, detours, or emergencies promptly.
• Interact with consumers to gather transportation requests, provide status updates on deliveries, and address any concerns or inquiries in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery schedules, consumer communications, and feedback.
• Act swiftly to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during transportation operations, ensuring minimal disruption to service and consumer satisfaction.
• Work closely with Transportation Coordinator and drivers.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in transportation dispatching or a related field preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Proficiency in computer systems and GPS tracking software.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
