Description
The Business Manager’s role is primarily one of oversight and management of processes and procedures for the smooth functioning of the parish. The practical focus will be on the accounting function, maintenance and oversight of facilities and grounds, and IT. While the day-to-day work in these three areas will be carried out mostly by the Bookkeeper, Maintenance Technician, and our external IT partners, the Business Manager will manage and collaborate with them to ensure deadlines and the needs of our stakeholders are being met. Because the Bookkeeper and Maintenance Technician report to the Business Manager, previous management experience is ideal. Further, because the Business Manager has oversight of the accounting function of the parish, it is necessary to have working knowledge of and experience with income and expenses; assets and liabilities; payroll and retirement contributions; collecting rental fees, including insurance premiums; bequests and other large donations; and budget setting and monitoring. The Business Manager executes this role in the service of the greater goal of advancing the authentic Christian mission of the parish and a deeper living of the Gospel in the lives of parishioners.
