6th - 8th Grade Science Teacher at St. Giles School (2024-25 school year):
Join our dynamic Middle School Team at St. Giles! We are a school of 350 PreK-8 students located in Oak Park and seek an energetic Science teacher in 6th-8th grades. Our program utilizes Elevate Science beginning in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position works closely with our technology teacher for STEM activities and includes participation in the IJAS Science Fair.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required with an endorsement in Middle School Science
Preferred Qualifications:
· 1 to 3 years teaching experience, experience with annual Science Fair a plus
· Valid state teaching licensure (we accept out-of-state teaching licenses)
General Responsibilities:
· Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and principal
· Participate in professional development programs required by the Archdiocese of Chicago and/or the local school and parish
· Perform teaching duties as assigned by the principal, including but not limited to providing remote instruction for students
· Attend required faculty and staff meetings
· Cooperate with the principal and staff members in school related meetings, activities, and projects
· Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records
· Maintain a safe, orderly, and secure learning environment
· Participate in the annual performance review
· Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters
