Summary
While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital or the Mt. Lebanon Surgical Center of St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for managing clinical and administrative activities of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to assure appropriate clinical coverage and clinical performance. Additionally, provides anesthesia services in the operating room and other appropriate areas of the Hospital following standards outlined by the Pennsylvania Nurse Practice Act, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Joint Commission, and departmental policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess a current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
2. Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
3. Five years experience as a CRNA.
4. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
1. One year experience as a Chief CRNA.
2. Two or more years of managing operations within a healthcare system.
3. Master’s in Business (MBA ) or related education, or experience in fiscal management.
