General Summary of Duties: The primary duties of the Charge Capture Biller is to review RCX edits and bill claims through Next Gen.

Essential Functions:

• Review RCX rules and resolve edits for billing
• Bill kept appointment without charges and bill
• Escalate billing issues pertaining to front desk issues that hinder billing and/or process flows
• Review claim production reports and clear edits
• Works with Coding to resolve payer and process issues
• Clear and resolve billing edits/rejections in Next Gen PM and the clearinghouse
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
• Excellent typing and 10-key speed and accuracy
• Commitment to a high level of customer service
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Clearinghouse rejections
• Working knowledge of medical jargon and anatomy preferred

• Able to work independently and in a group setting
• Working knowledge of Next Gen billing, Genius Doc, and I Know Med (preferred)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of two years of billing experience is a preferably: radiation oncology, rheumatology, labs, hematology and/or oncology
• Proficient computer skills
