Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, the Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for supporting Carrix Profit Centers and departments including but not limited to Legal, Accounting, Information Technology, and Accounts Payable and others as necessary to gain best value from strategically sourcing and contracting for equipment, materials, and services in support of the Carrix business and operational needs.

• Gain defined scope by acquiring product specifications and applicable performance requirements and/or services descriptions, related quantities, and current period cost per unit of measure.
• Develop supplier/vendor bidders lists for each assigned procurement scope, promoting competitive pricing, and including applicable supplier/vendor qualification review.
• Determine the applicable strategic sourcing bidding mechanism including bid event, reverse auction, or sole source/single source.
• Prepare and issue requests for quotation and invitations for bid from technical requirements documents and obtain competitive bids for products and/or services.
• Perform commercial bid evaluations in collaboration with applicable Carrix representatives from operations and/or departments.
• Negotiate contracts including terms and conditions of purchase with suppliers and vendors.
• Write and award purchase order contracts and applicable exhibits, and prepare related contract amendments and change orders that are complete and enforceable.
• Prepare and issue reports to management regarding the status of strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Assist in resolution of problems with suppliers and vendors related to procured goods and services.
• All scope for this position shall be performed in support of and in collaboration with the respective applicable profit center business units and/or departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college is required. A master's degree is preferred. Such a bachelor's or master's degree is preferred in business, economics or law.
• Minimum of five-years' experience in strategic sourcing, negotiating contracts, and procurement of equipment, materials, and services including but not limited to professional services, facility services, construction services, and related subcontracts is required.
• Strong, in-depth knowledge and best practices application of strategic sourcing techniques and procure to pay processes and procedures are required.
• Fundamental knowledge of how contracts are formed and enforced, and has a working knowledge and polished communication skills to write and edit contract clauses including business terms and conditions normally contained in supply chain contracts.
• Strong experience and expertise in negotiating various pricing structures, and contract terms and conditions is required.
• Business experience within an industrial and/or construction services operations organization is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to work in a collaborative project team environment with multiple reporting lines.
