One of the leading Construction & Consulting Company is seeking to hire a Construction Quality Manager for MTA NYCT projects, Immediate direct hiring. Location: New York City. Candidates should have a professional, pleasant demeanor with the ability to work in fast paced environment. The Quality Manager shall provide various related services to support the MTA C&D, which is comprised of the following areas: Line Structures, Buildings, Shops and Yards, Passenger Stations, Electrical/Power, Security Enhancements, Parking Lots, Site Work, plumbing, Mechanical, and Environmental. The work is predominantly field work.

The type of tasks required of the Consultant shall include but are not limited to the following:

1) Review, comment, and monitor status of Consultant or Contractor’s Quality
Manual and Contract Quality Plan (CQP) and, where applicable Software QA Plan,
to ISO 9001 standards.
2) Review, comment, and monitor the status of Inspection & Test Plan, and where
applicable, Software Verification and Validation Plan.
3) Review and comment on Commissioning and Systems Integration Plan and testing
procedures.
4) Review and comment on Contractor QC procedures, forms, matrixes
5) Review, comment, and monitor the status of Inspection, Test, and Nonconformance
Reports.
6) Review, comment, and monitor the status of Software Configuration Management
Plan, where applicable.
7) Track, Monitor, and analyze project nonconformance.

Qualification:

1) Bachelor's degree required; BS Engineering preferred.

2) A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience or equivalent, with five (5) years’ experience in managing quality activities.

3) Current certification in Construction Quality Management from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or a certified ISO-9001 Lead Auditor as recognized by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), but not required.

4) The Quality Manager shall be independent of the physical production driven construction effort.
